You Make Me Come Alive

It's always like springtime with You, making all things new
Your light is breaking through the dark
This love it is sweeter than wine
Bringing joy, bringing life
Your hope is rising like the dawn

This is what You do, this is what You do
You make me come alive

It's like I'm living for the first time
Finally living for the first time

First moments of 2016

Those first days of New Year have been wonderfully slow and cozy.

A few shots from today's mini shoot around my house. We finally got a bit of snow and lots of sun today, so it's been lovely to take a few wintery snapshots.

My All In Thee by Young Oceans
When gracious Lord, when shall it be
That earth will find her all in Thee?
The fullness of Thy promise, prove
Seal me with Thy eternal love

Thee only Thee I’m fain to find
I cast the world and sin behind
O my Redeemer, hear this plea
And let me find my all in Thee

Show me Your Way, my love, my Lord
Draw me to grace, so strong and sure
I run to Your mercy, where I am free
Let me find my all in Thee

Lord I am blind, be Thou my sight
Lord I am weak, be Thou my might
A helper of the helpless be
And let me find my all in Thee

Please mend my soul, my frame, my life
A contrite heart, Thou won’t despise
Take now this pain and misery
And let me find my all in Thee

Slow me down, O Lord
slow me down
Help my heart to hear Your sound
Speak into my life
Lord speak now
Slow me down, O Lord
slow me down

Clear my mind, O Lord
clear my mind
Bring me peace that I cannot find
Take my worried thoughts
break my pride
Clear my mind, O Lord
clear my mind

Wake my soul, O Lord
wake my soul
With this mess I’ve made
make me whole
Of this life called mine, take control
Wake my soul, O Lord
wake my soul

Come To Us O Lord by Young Oceans

O living Word; please come and dwell in us
Lord wipe away, these tears
O Ancient Son; so long foretold
We’re desperate souls, draw near

And we will stand,
Securely in the strength of the Lord
Every heart will surely come and adore
The Great I Am

Our Shepherd King; please come and dwell with us
To fields of grace; lead on

And we will stand,
Securely in the strength of the Lord
Every heart will surely come and adore
The Great I Am

We need You now
Break our chains by Your glory and power
Make us captive to a holy desire
Come to us O Lord
Come to us O Lord

Prince of Peace, Emmanuel
Lord draw us close, unto Thyself
King of kings, God’s chosen One
We need you now; to Thee we run

hello December

 My Advent Calendar this year:

Artsy illustrations by Wilna Furstenberg - IHeartStudio store

December is here ... so it's time to share my first December daily 2015 pages. I'm not sure if I will make the actual 25 pages this year, as I've decided to take it easily and not put pressure on myself - just enjoy the season and the creative process. As usual my album is not so much about December activities or traditions, it is rather my artful/prayer journal which helps me immerse in the advent/christmas mood and cherish the moments.
The idea this year is to pick each day a song from my Advent 2015 playlist at Spotify and pray with it. I'll share the words that spoke to me on my Dec daily pages or with my daily photos at Instagram.

So here's my album cover and the first page:

Gennifer Bursett - Into The Woods

Tracy Martin - Cozy Times; Serendipity

The lyrics in the background is from a song All Who Hear by Young Oceans:
A desert voice calls out
Lend him your ear, your heart
Though we are scattered stones... We're not alone
So we, the road, prepare
For heaven's eternal heir
At last our Savior's near
Let all, who hear, make way
And may these hearts
Prepare, a place
What is this grace divine?
That earth and sky align
With leveled souls laid bare...
Let all, who hear, make way
And may these hearts
Prepare, a place
For 'God with Us'
Will come to save
And surely He shall comfort those he loves
And so we wait
