Inspiration Music Project 7

December starts tomorrow and with it comes wonderful, magical atmosphere and counting down to Christmas. It's definitely my fave time of the year. And one of the reasons for that are Christmas songs - there are so many beautiful songs that I can listen to endlessly. Today one of them - River by Joni Mitchel but sung by Sarah McLachlan because I prefer this version. When I heard it for the first time I immediately fell in love with the music and the lyrics - especially the verse:
I wish I had a river so long
I would teach my feet to fly
You can watch the clip here.
And here is the lyrics:

Its coming on christmas
Theyre cutting down trees
Theyre putting up reindeer
And singing songs of joy and peace
Oh I wish I had a river
I could skate away on
But it dont snow here
It stays pretty green
Im going to make a lot of money
Then Im going to quit this crazy scene
I wish I had a river
I could skate away on
I wish I had a river so long
I would teach my feet to fly
Oh I wish I had a river
I could skate away on
I made my baby cry

He tried hard to help me
You know, he put me at ease
And he loved me so naughty
Made me weak in the knees
Oh I wish I had a river
I could skate away on
Im so hard to handle
Im selfish and Im sad
Now Ive gone and lost the best baby
That I ever had
Oh I wish I had a river
I could skate away on
I wish I had a river so long
I would teach my feet to fly
Oh I wish I had a river
I made my baby say goodbye

Its coming on christmas
Theyre cutting down trees
Theyre putting up reindeer
And singing songs of joy and peace
I wish I had a river
I could skate away on

And as an eye candy this stunning winter photo - taken by Tom Wright.

Inspiration Music Project 6

Today something for the lovers of Jane Austen novels, and films based on them, but also for all fans of Michael Buble ;-) as I want to share with you one of my fave songs ( you'd probably guessed it already as it's on the very top of my playlist ;-) and it's accompanied for a u tube video with the scenes from the film Persuasion.
Yesterday I had a free evening and decided that instead of scrapping I'd rather watch a movie and found a CD borrowed from a friend of mine long time ago including some adaptations of J.Austen novels I watched Northanger Abbey .... and then Persuasion ;-) Loved both - you can't stay indifferent to all those cute dresses, balls, beautiful country mansions and really gentlemen guys - not too mention Austen's sense of humour and observant eye, can you ;-)
so if you like this kind of films - go and see these two ... and definitely listen to the music from Persuasion - it's absolutely beautiful (check here)
so I leave you with this a little dreamy world of happy endings ... just don't get lost in it too much

have a blessed week

I can\'t believe it\'s over
I watched the whole thing fall
And I never saw the writing that was on the wall
If I\'d only knew
The days were slipping past
That the good things never last
That you were crying

Summer turned to winter
And the snow it turned to rain
And the rain turned into tears upon your face
I hardly recognize the girl you are today
And God I hope it\'s not too late
It\'s not too late

\'Cause you are not alone
I\'m always there with you
And we\'ll get lost together
Until the light comes pouring through
It\'s when you feel like you\'re done
And the darkness has won
Babe, you\'re not lost
When your world\'s crashing down
And you can\'t bear the cross
I said, babe, you\'re not lost

Life can show no mercy
It can tear your soul apart
It can make you feel like you\'ve gone crazy but you\'re not
Things have seemed to change
There\'s one thing that\'s still the same
In my heart you have remained
And we can fly fly fly away

\'Cause you are not alone
And I am there with you
And we\'ll get lost together
Until the light comes pouring through
It\'s when you feel like you\'re done
And the darkness has won
Babe, you\'re not lost
And the world\'s crashing down
And you can not bear the cross
I said, baby, you\'re not lost
I said, baby, you\'re not lost
I said, baby, you\'re not lost
I said, baby, you\'re not lost

Inspiration Music Project 5

Today a song I've discovered this week - Stay Beside Me by the Future of Forestry. Check the playlist for the song and the lyrics is below. It's really beautiful - and very uplifting.

After several digi projects I finally made a real layout - the background is painted with acrylics and stamped a bit - I've been experimenting with paints and gesso recently and absolutely love it, so probably will use it more in my scrapbooking.

When my broken world caves in
And the darkness covers over
With a love, love, love that heals
You come, You make us one
So, Jesus, stay with my heart, stay beside me
You are hope for my soul, You complete me
You make us one
You make us one
When Your tenderness surrounds
And Your gentle whisper finds me
With a love, love, love that fills
You come, You make us one
When the beautiful unfolds
And my longing touches heaven
With a love, love, love that fills
You come, You make us one
You are love, You are grace
You are kindness and compassion
You are love, You are grace
You are God

Inspiration Music Project 4

So as I promised yesterday - today a bit delayed Inspo Music Project. This time I chose a song by one of my fave singers - Sarah Mclachlan - love her!!! The title is Ordinary Miracle and I used a few lines from the lyrics in my digital layout. It's another song speaking about the joy that fills up our lives if we only dare to see everyday life as a miracle. I'm finding this truth really important for me these days, trying to live it out - be here and now, be aware. Hope you'll find it uplifting and life-enriching too.
The song is already on the palylist, but if you want to watch it - here's You-tube video for you:

and here's the lyrics:
It's not that usual when everything is beautiful
It's just another ordinary miracle today

The sky knows when its time to snow
You don't need to teach a seed to grow
It's just another ordinary miracle today

Life is like a gift they say
Wrapped up for you everyday
Open up and find a way
To give some of your own

Isn't it remarkable?
Like every time a raindrop falls
It's just another ordinary miracle today

Birds in winter have their fling
And always make it home by spring
It's just another ordinary miracle today

When you wake up everyday
Please don't throw your dreams away
Hold them close to your heart
Cause we are all a part
Of the ordinary miracle

Ordinary miracle
Do you want to see a miracle?

It seems so exceptional
That things just work out after all
It's just another ordinary miracle today

The sun comes up and shines so bright
It disappears again at night
It's just another ordinary miracle today

Once again I used a great ready art journal background by Djpettit and some Rhonna Farrer's brushes (the bird is part of one of them). I've fallen in love with art journalling recently and I'm working on some more art journal pages -"real" ones - and hope to show them off soon.
So see you soon - enjoy your ordainary miracles in teh meantime ;-)

Sunday cover

It's Sunday - so it's time for the Inspiration Music Project - but I have to disappoint you - not today. I've been to an English teaching workshop today, so haven't had time to create anything ;-( I promise to make up for that tomorrow.
And as for today - so as not to leave you with nothing - a few cards made these last few days.
See you tomorrow

pierwsze pół-urodziny

My sweetest nephew turned 6 months yesterday.Hard to believe he's so "old" already and can roll and prop himself up on his arms. But his cutes ability is definitely babbling and croaking like a frog - he's great at it! :-)
To celebrate that I did two layouts (digi, because had only digital pictures) - one with his pic from yesterday, and the second - a happy family layout.

being thankful

I had lots of difficulty making this card - somehow I felt something was missing and I was not happy with the overall look of it - but finally I made it - and all in all I like how it came out. It's for this week's challenge at
Card-a-licious - the task is to make a thank you card. Check their blog because there are lots of beautiful cards this week there.

Recently a friend of mine has sent me this quote and I loved it so much that decided to make a layout that would remind me of this great truth that happiness can't be forced or catched - but if we're still enough and at peace with myself we'll surely notice it :-)

Postanowilam go zeskrapować, aby ta prawda - i szczęście - mi nie umknęły ...

And one more layout - this time me and my best girlfriends. The subject is gratitude - it's this month's topic at Scrapbooking from the Inside Out- a new amazing scrap kit club I've discovered recently which has lots of inspo not only for scrappers but all who look for personal development.

I jeszcze jeden scrapik - tym razem ja i moje ukochane przyjaciółki w Krakowie nad Wisłą. Temat scrapu - wdzięczność, bo taki jest temat w tym miesiącu na tej super inspirujacej stronce: Scrapbooking from the Inside Out.

i jeszcze jedno blog candy

Thanks to Nowalinka I've discovered a new blog of a very talented Arine. So check her out, especially that there's candy waiting for you there.

promised cards

Two new Christmas cards. The second one is for the challenge at the new challenge blog Card-a-licious. This week we are supposed to make a shaped card.

Inspiration Music Project 3

So here we are on Sunday again and another Inspiration Music project is up for you to enjoy. Sorry for the last Sunday - I skipped it as I didn't find time to post it before and then I was away.

Today I made a digi layout featuring a fragment of lyrics from Gabriel by Lamb. I discovered this song about two weeks ago thanks to You Can Dance show - they danced a beautiful modern-jazz choreography to it and I fell in love not only with the dancing but the music as well. Lyrics is also very moving, so hope you'll like it as much as I do.

Here is the You-tube video with the lyrics for you:

and the song is on the blog's playlist too. By the way, there are a few more added as well ;-)

So here is my layout:

angel vintage picture: found on web - sorry but lost the link, but have it saved on my computer if you want it.

Have a blessed Sunday - hope it is as sunny and beautiful as mine

and see you later with some new cards

Pull out card

Here is the card I mentioned some posts ago - the one with a pull out tag that uncovers hidden journalling. Love this idea.

Oto kartka, o której wspominałam kilka postów temu - wysuwana, z napisem niespodzianką - ciekawy i oryginalny pomysł.
